Why this page exists
Anyone can start a blog. Building a platform where a founder’s article actually carries weight — where a director’s case study gets shared inside another company’s leadership meeting — is a different problem entirely. That’s what we’re trying to build with Postorie, and it only works if what gets published here is real.
So before you hit publish, here’s what we expect from you, and what you can expect from us.
Who this is for
Postorie is built for people who have actually done the work: founders, business owners, directors, managers, consultants, and specialists across business, digital marketing, tech & AI, and web development. If you’ve built something, fixed something, scaled something, or learned something the hard way — that’s the article we want.
If you’re publishing for a company rather than as an individual, the article still needs a real person behind it. Nobody on Postorie wants to read copy that sounds like it came from a press release.
What “good” actually looks like here
We don’t grade articles on length alone, but anything under 1,000 words rarely has room to say something real, which is why that’s our floor, not our target. Beyond word count, every article we approve does at least one of these:
- Shares a specific result, number, or outcome you were personally involved in
- Explains a decision you made and what you’d do differently now
- Breaks down something technical or strategic in a way only someone who’s actually done it could write
If your article could have been written by anyone, about any company, with the names swapped out — it’s not ready yet. That’s the single most common reason we send work back for revision.
Using AI to help you write
We’re not going to pretend AI tools don’t exist or pretend nobody uses them — most writers do, in some form, and that’s fine. What we actually care about is whether the article is true, specific, and useful once it’s published, regardless of what helped get it there.
Here’s the line we draw: if you pasted a prompt and published the output without checking a single fact, changing a single example, or adding anything only you would know — that’s not an article, that’s a placeholder. It reads generic because it is generic, and readers (and Google) can tell. Before you publish anything, ask yourself honestly: did I actually add something here that didn’t exist before I wrote it? If the answer is no, it’s not ready.
Articles that look mass-produced — vague, interchangeable, clearly unedited — get removed even after they’re live. We’d rather have 50 articles that are actually worth reading than 500 that aren’t.
Company pages, services, and case studies
Once your profile is set up, you can create a company page and start adding services and case studies. A few ground rules here:
- Describe what your company actually does, in your own words — not a copy-paste of your homepage
- Case studies need real substance: what the client’s problem was, what you actually did, and what changed because of it. “Increased traffic significantly” isn’t a case study — “grew organic leads from 12 to 41 a month over 90 days” is.
- If something on your company page is promotional rather than informational, just say so. Readers respect that more than they respect vague claims dressed up as objective insight.
Portfolio & project entries
Only add projects you actually worked on, with your role described accurately. A short, honest description of the problem and what you delivered is worth more than a polished one-liner with nothing behind it. If you’re showcasing client work, make sure you have the right to share it publicly.
Originality comes first
Content needs to be original to Postorie, or clearly something you’re authorized to republish. We don’t accept:
- Articles copied or lightly reworded from another site
- The same article submitted under multiple profiles or published elsewhere without telling us
- Content that closely mirrors another author’s published work on this platform
If you want to repost something you originally published elsewhere, message us first so we can flag it correctly — this protects both you and the platform from being penalized for duplicate content.
What we don’t allow
- Headlines that promise something the article doesn’t deliver
- Writing stuffed with keywords instead of written for a person
- Hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory content of any kind
- Hidden affiliate links or paid promotion dressed up as editorial content
- Anything that infringes someone else’s copyright or trademark
- Spam, filler, or anything published just to occupy space
Formatting that respects the reader
Use headings so people can scan before they commit to reading. Write in paragraphs a normal person would actually read, not walls of text. Featured images and portfolio images need to be WebP or AVIF (see our Privacy Policy for why), and you should only use images you actually have the rights to.
How review works
We review content before and sometimes after it’s published — not to slow you down, but because one low-quality article published under your name affects how every other author here gets perceived by readers and by search engines. If we decline or remove something, we’ll tell you why whenever we can, and you’re welcome to revise and resubmit.
Repeated violations — especially around originality or mass-produced content — can lead to publishing restrictions or account suspension.
Keeping things accurate over time
If something in your article becomes outdated or you spot an error, update it from your dashboard. We’d rather you fix a 2-year-old article than let an outdated claim sit there looking current. Accuracy matters more than an unbroken publishing streak.
